Anne Hathaway has surprised fans by announcing that she is pregnant, sharing the news in a beautiful video on Instagram. The Devil Wears Prada star, who recently returned to the iconic role of Andrea Sachs in the movie’s new sequel, captioned the clip, simply: “Baby, I’m yours x”.
Hathaway could be seen wearing a flowing skirt and matching top, as she smiled while cradling her bump. Mirroring the words that accompanied the update, the song “Baby I’m Yours” by Barbara Lewis was playing.
A number of celebrity well-wishes jumped into the comments, with Lily Collins and Sophia Bush among those sharing their congratulations.
Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman, who married in 2012, are already parents to two children, so this will be their third.
In a recent cover interview with ELLE, Hathaway gave an insight into her family life, when she revealed: “I’m having the most wonderful time with my family, living in the city of my dreams, and work seems to be going really, really well…”

Speaking of Hathaway’s work, it’s been a busy year for the star on screen. As well as Devil Wears Prada 2, she also starred in Mother Mary earlier this year, a thriller that centred on the relationship between a pop star (Hathaway) and a visionary fashion designer (played by Michaela Coel).
The Hollywood actor is part of the star-studded cast – along with Zendaya, Tom Holland and Lupita Nyong’o – in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie Odyssey, which will arrive to cinemas in July, and she also has a leading role in the highly-anticipated Verity, alongside Dakota Johnson.
Based on Colleen Hoover’s 2018 novel of the same name, an intense trailer has already been revealed, and we’re expecting this to hit screens later this year.
And as if that’s not already impressive, Hathaway’s new sci-fi The End of Oak Street – which also stars Oscar winner Ewan McGregor – is set to arrive to cinemas in August. The trailer revealed a surprising twist, with the movie centring on a neighbourhood that has been mysteriously… moved.
“After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings,” the synopsis teases.
