In terms of pure sales, it’s the biggest week of sales for a single in nearly three years, since The Beatles’ record-breaking Now And Then release in November 2023.

It’s the 20th occasion that Taylor has topped the Official Singles Chart across her seven UK Number 1 singles.

What a week for Olivia Rodrigo!  As you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love tops the Official Albums Chart, three tracks from the record all break the Top 5 including the UK’s highest new entry of the week stupid song (2), the cure (3) and drop dead (5). This is the first time she has achieved this feat since 2021.

There’s a World Cup fever epidemic on the charts!

The official 2026 tournament anthem Dai Dai from Shakira and Burna Boy breaks the Top 40 for the first time (28), as Shakira’s 2010 World Cup track Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) enters the main standings for the first time in 16 years (37). There’s a seasonal return for Three Lions from Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds (35), following England’s win in their first group stage match against Croatia on Wednesday. Too early to say it’s coming home?

Congratulations to K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM, as their latest bop ICONIC BY MISTAKE featuring ILLIT and KATSEYE earns a debut UK Top 40 appearance for the South Korean five- piece (22).

Harry Styles’ current record-breaking Wembley Stadium tour means a handful of his tracks permeate the chart this week, including American Girls (12), Aperture (25) and Sign of the Times (29).

Finally, Silva Bumpa’s summer banger On 2nite shifts two places to a brand-new peak (30).
