AFFA is proud to host conversations between members of the LGBTQ+ community in South Carolina, focusing on the moments that unite us across generations. We all have something to learn from one another, and we all have a little bit of strength we can lend to each other in our ongoing pursuit of equal rights for all people.
In this conversation, we are joined by Leslie Johnson and Susan Ward of PFLAG Greenville, SC– two incredible individuals who were brought into the organizing and local advocacy world because of the love they have for their respective children. Leslie and Susan discuss grassroots efforts for equality in the Upstate, what trends they noticed from the 90’s to now, and a bit of their own stories navigating mental health and supporting their children in the community.
