Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend Jim Curtis is seemingly uncomfortable with her staying in touch with one of her ex-husbands, and no, we’re not talking about Justin Theroux.
It seems Curtis isn’t thrilled that Aniston is still quite close to Brad Pitt, and insiders are spilling why to Closer Online UK.

For reference, Pitt and Aniston first met in 1994, but didn’t start dating until 1998. They married in 2000, but ended up divorcing in 2005. They reunited in 2020 at the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, proving they’re on good terms. In fact, during an appearance on Howard Stern’s eponymous SiriusXM show via People, Aniston said, “Brad and I are buddies, we’re friends. And we speak and there’s no oddness at all, except for everyone that probably watched it and was wanting there to be, or assumed there to be.”
Now, the insiders told Closer Online UK: “It’s been a surprising source of tension because Jen sees it as healthy and mature, while Jim thinks some relationships are better left in the past. He insists he’s not jealous but, let’s face it, if anyone could make a man jealous it would be Brad Pitt.”
“In Jen’s mind, that’s a sign of growth and healing. She feels she’s finally reached a place where she can look back on that chapter of her life without anger or sadness and simply appreciate the good memories. Jim is incredibly supportive and secure in most situations, but Brad is different,” they added. “Jim knows firsthand how much pain Jen went through because of that relationship, and he struggles to understand why she’d want to keep the door open to any sort of friendship.”

For those who don’t know, Aniston and Curtis were introduced by mutual friends at an undisclosed time, and by the summer of 2025, their relationship had become more public. In fact, in June 2025, rumors started swirling that Aniston and Curtis, were dating after being spotted together in Northern California.
In July 2025, they were photographed again while with friends in Mallorca, Spain; and after her friends reportedly gave the romance a thumbs up, it’s only gotten more and more public.
