Demi Moore is sharing a moving Father’s Day tribute to her ex-husband Bruce Willis.

The “Ghost” star, 63, took to Instagram on June 21 to share a carousel of throwback photos of the “Die Hard” actor, 71, with his children through the years.

“Generations of love,” she wrote in the caption, adding, “Today we celebrate our incredible BW. Sending love to all the fathers, today and always.”

Willis, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, was married to Moore from 1987 to 2000, and they share three children: Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 32. In 2009, he married Emma Heming Willis, with whom he welcomed two children: Mabel, 14, and Evelyn, 12.

Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis both shared Moore’s post on their Instagram stories.

Emma Heming Willis also took to Instagram on Father’s Day to share her own tribute: She posted three old photos of the actor lying in bed with his daughter and smiling.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who make their children feel safe, loved, and completely at ease in their presence and in their arms. Just like our Bruce,” she wrote.

Willis has been retired from acting since 2022 after initially being diagnosed with aphasia. He was later diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, which according to the Mayo Clinic is a term for a group of diseases affecting the parts of the brain associated with personality, behavior and language.

Emma Heming Willis has frequently opened up about grief and the reality of caregiving in recent years, and she published a book on the subject, “The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path,” in 2025. In January, she shared on the “Conversations with Cam” podcast that her husband, who lives in a separate home, isn’t aware he has dementia.

“I think that’s the blessing and the curse of this,” she said. “Bruce never tapped in. He never connected the dots that he had this disease, and I’m really happy about that. I’m really happy that he doesn’t know about it.”

For Father’s Day in 2025, Emma Heming Willis penned a vulnerable Instagram post reflecting on the fact that she was feeling “profoundly sad today.” She wrote at the time, “I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family.”

She recently celebrated her 50th birthday on June 18. In an Instagram post, she shared photos from her birthday celebration, including one with Moore, and in the caption reflected on wondering what her husband “would have done for my 50th.” She said, “If you knew what he did for my 40th, you’d know there would have been a massive celebration. So we had one.”
