By now, it’s no secret that royal brothers Prince Harry and Prince William aren’t on speaking terms. After feuding over Harry’s departure from royal life alongside Meghan Markle in 2020, reports have indicated that the relationship between them is not only strained, but essentially nonexistent.
With that said, however, royal fans can’t help but wonder if Harry and Markle’s upcoming trip to the UK could be a real turning point, if not for Harry and William, but maybe for their kids. After all, their kids have nothing to do with their years-long feud, right?

Sadly, while that may be true, it looks like the Sussex kids Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, will not be reuniting with their cousins, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8.
“Even if relations are gradually improving, the Wales household likely has a full schedule already in place for the summer, and any reunion involving the cousins would require tons of planning and goodwill from all parties involved,” Royal commentator Amanda Matta told Page Six.
That’s especially the case if their mother, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, is involved. “Particularly if Catherine were to be involved in any potential plans,” Matta added.

Per royal reporter Emily Nash for Page Six, a reunion would only be possible if it were a part of a much greater occasion.
“If it was part of a wider family gathering, it’s possible they could be at the same place at the same time,” Nash told the outlet. “But, you know, given the very fractious nature of the relationship between William and Harry, I don’t see them rushing to spend time together just because Harry’s back in the UK.”
“In any family, you would hope that cousins would have a chance to spend time together and grow up together, and I’m sure they don’t feel any differently,” Nash continued.

The report from Page Six echoes Vanity Fair‘s sources on the Sussexes’ upcoming trip, claiming that William will pull out all the stops not to be involved.
“William won’t be seeing his brother,” the source said. “I suspect he will make sure he’s miles away when Harry visits to avoid any awkward encounters.”
“Harry has tried to make contact repeatedly, but William won’t take his calls,” the insider said. “He is not minded to a reconciliation at all, and the fact that his father is bending over backwards to make Harry’s visit happen has become the source of deep irritation for William.”
“William is known to hold a grudge, whereas [King Charles III] just wants peace,” a family friend told the outlet. “They come to the Harry situation from different perspectives. Charles is of the view that one must forgive and move on. William won’t do that. Not yet and maybe never.”
Markle and Harry are set to travel to the UK with their kids for the first time next month. And while a cousin reunion isn’t in the cards, we’re sure other much-needed reunions, including the kids with their paternal grandfather, will make it all worthwhile.
