Lizzy Caplan is the latest addition to the debut season of Noah Hawley and Rob Mac‘s upcoming FX anthology series Far Cry.

Details on her character are being kept under wraps for now. The series, based on Ubisoft’s video game franchise, is expected to retain its predecessor’s storytelling format with each season set in a new setting following a new cast of characters. Mac will also star.

Caplan is the first casting to be announced, besides Mac. Most recently, she starred in Netflix’s six-episode conspiracy thriller Zero Day and the FX limited series Fleishman Is In Trouble, earning an Emmy nomination for the latter.

Caplan also recently led the Paramount+ series Fatal Attraction, appeared in the Lionsgate thriller Cobweb directed by Samuel Bodin, and starred in Showtime’s Masters of Sex, for which she received both Emmy and Critics Choice Award nominations.

Since 2004, Far Cry has more than 100 million unique players and is one of Ubisoft’s most popular franchises, known for the exhilaration of the first-person shootouts, organic open world playgrounds, unique stories and memorable antagonists. The latest opus, Far Cry 6, which featured Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist, Antón, was released on October 6, 2021.
