Main Vaapas Aaunga is set to emerge a success as the film collected Rs. 2.65 crore nett approx on its 3rd Friday. This is the highest Friday of the run for the film so far, compared to Rs. 1.05 crore nett on 1st Friday and Rs. 1.90 crore nett on 2nd Friday. It is one thing to increase on the 2nd Friday, but to manage that for three weeks is incredible. If the memory serves right, the last one to do this was probably Gadar, though back then, there wasn’t any daily tracking, but rather weekly, so it’s tough to be sure.

There was a holiday for Muharram, which helped it, but the film would have managed to go up regardless. The advances for Saturday are significantly higher than Friday, implying the holiday impact was not that big.

The fifteen-day running total stands at Rs. 35.50 crore nett approx. The 3rd weekend is expected to bring in around Rs. 11 crore nett, which will take it to Rs. 44 crore nett by Sunday. From there, the film should comfortably cruise past Rs. 50 crore nett, for a potential finish close to Rs. 65-70 crore nett. That figure would normally be good for calling this film even a HIT, but the costs are a bit on the higher side, plus since the first two weeks’ contribution is low, the SHARE from these NETT numbers won’t be that high as it typically would be.

Reaching Rs. 65-70 crore nett isn’t a done deal yet, but the film is on course to reach there, provided it continues to sustain this level of collections. Also crucial is going to be the overseas performance, where the film has collected USD 1.50 million so far, suffering from extremely limited showcasing. Sort of appreciation this film has got, it could have targeted USD 4-5 million final, but now even USD 3 million will be a very good finish.
