PORTLAND (WGME) — The fourth annual Drive Fore Kids Celebrity Golf Tournament teed off Friday at Falmouth Country Club.
The event brings current and former professional athletes and celebrities to Maine to benefit both the Dempsey Center and the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital.
While there are plenty of familiar faces returning, there are also first timers, including Boston Celtics guard and NBA champion Payton Pritchard, who says he’s excited to get out on the course.
“It’s a great course,” Pritchard said. “Great people around there, and I’m looking forward to the energy and excitement around the tournament.”
Other celebrities taking part include former Bruins goalie and Stanley Cup champion Tukka Rask, NFL Hall of Famers Jerome Bettis and Ronde Barber and of course, Patrick Dempsey.
The event runs through Sunday.
