Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a rare public appearance in support of their brother Trent’s recent wedding.

The fraternal twins, 40, who formally retired from acting in 2012, attended the May ceremony of their oldest sibling and his new wife, Alexis.

On Thursday, in a joint Instagram post shared by the newlyweds, the Full House stars posed for a family photo. They stood to the left of the happy couple, alongside Ashley’s husband, Louis Eisner, their half-siblings Courtney, 29, and Jake Olsen, 28, and other family members. Their younger sister, WandaVision star Elizabeth, 37, and her husband, Robbie Arnett, could be seen in the back.

Each person wore black, except for Alexis and her flower girl, who wore white, and Courtney, who wore a navy dress.

The post’s caption simply reads, “Family,” next to a single white heart emoji.

The celebration marks Mary-Kate and Ashley’s first public appearance since attending W Magazine and Bloomindale’s 2025 New York Fashion Week party.

The former child actors, best known for playing Michelle Tanner on the popular sitcom Full House and its sequel series Fuller House, officially stepped away from acting in the early 2010s to focus on careers in fashion. They now co-run a luxury brand, The Row, and a lifestyle brand, Elizabeth & James.

Mary-Kate’s final on-screen appearance was in the 2011 fantasy romance film Beastly, starring Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer, while Ashley’s final acting credit was a brief cameo in 2008’s Josh Henderson-led romcom The Jerk Theory.

The sisters last acted together in the 2004 family comedy, New York Minute, in which they played teenage Long Island twins who find themselves on numerous misadventures during a trip into Manhattan on a school day. It also starred Eugene Levy, the late Bob Saget and Gilmore Girls starJared Padalecki.

Their sister Elizabeth, however, has continued acting, most recently appearing in the 2025 romcom Eternity and voicing her WandaVision character, Wanda Maximoff, in three episodes of the limited animated series Marvel Zombies.

Opening up about their family dynamic, Elizabeth said in a 2025 segment of Today with Jenna & Friends: “I’m one of six [children]. I loved it. Especially being the baby. I really enjoyed it. I also really admire the partnership that [Mary-Kate and Ashley] have and don’t compete with it, in a way. It’s something different.”

The Love & Death star reiterated how much she “admires” Mary-Kate and Ashley’s relationship with each other, adding: “It’s a really interesting thing to watch… It’s a different kind of connection.”
