Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has welcomed his first child with his wife, Hanni Treweek, with the couple sharing the name and first photo of their new addition.
The actor, who fans best know for playing the ITV soap’s David Platt, and Hanni announced in February, on Valentine’s Day, that they are expecting their first child together, seven months after tying the knot at Manchester Cathedral in July.
Revealing their baby joy, Hanni posted a video to Instagram, in which the couple walked in the grounds of a country house, before Jack cradled and kissed her blossoming bump. She captioned the clip: “We’ve been keeping a secret…June 2026. Thank you so much to the dream team who made this so special for us.”

It was then on Sunday (June 28) evening that Jack and Hanni confirmed the arrival of their bundle of joy, with the news marking the fourth time Jack has become a father as the soap star already has kids, Nyla Rae and Ruben, with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, and son Greyson with his former partner, Sammy Milewski.
Taking to Instagram, Hanni led the announcement by sharing the first photo of their daughter, having not discovered the gender of their first child together ahead of the birth. The image gave a glimpse of their baby girl for the first time as Hanni and Jack held onto her tiny hand.
Alongside the joint post, the couple wrote on Instagram: “Constance Ita Shepherd[heart emoji] Our beautiful baby girl has arrived, born peacefully at home, surrounded by love.” The post also revealed that their daughter had actually arrived on Friday, with the date: “26.6.26.”

Jack’s Corrie co-stars were quick to respond to the happy news. Samia Longchambon said: “Amazing! Huge congratulations guys.” Sally Dynevor commented: “Oh wonderful so happy for you, what a beautiful name. Lots of love to you all.” Gareth Pierce posted: “Lovely news! Welcome to the world, Constance.”
Tina O’Brien wrote: “Congratulations to you both.” Sam Aston shared: “Wonderful news! Congratulations guys. Born at home aswell.” Jane Danson replied: “Congratulations- gorgeous news.” Sue Devaney gushed: “Gorgeous beautiful little girl and what a wonderful name. Congratulations Hanni and Jack! Can’t wait to meet her.”
Georgia Taylor reponded: “Oh darling! So thrilled for you both and what a beautiful name.” Emmerdale’s Danny Miller typed: “Congratulations you three! All the love in the world.” Former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer added: “Congratulations both of you.”
