Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd and his wife Hanni have announced the birth of their first child together. The couple have taken to social media to post a sweet picture of their daughter, sharing the beautiful name.
Taking to Instagram, the David Platt star and Hanni, who worked as a storyline writer on the ITV soap, have announced the birth of their baby girl, Constance Ita Shepherd. The pair shared a black-and-white picture of their hands holding Constance’s little fingers.
“Our beautiful baby girl has arrived, born peacefully at home, surrounded by love,” the caption reads.

Shepherd’s soap co-stars flocked to the comment section to share their congratulations, with Corrie’s Georgia Taylor writing: “Oh darling! So thrilled for you both, and what a beautiful name xxx”
Tina O’Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, said: “Congratulations to you both xxxx,” while Asha Alahan star Tanisha Gorey also wrote: “Huge congratulations to you both!!!”
“Oh wonderful, so happy for you, what a beautiful name. Lots of love to you all xxxx” wrote Sally Dynevor, with Sue Devaney writing: “Gorgeous beautiful little girl and what a wonderful name. Congratulations Hanni and Jack! Can’t wait to meet her.”
Sam Aston wrote: “Wonderful news! Congratulations guys, born at home as well,” while Gareth Pierce, who plays Todd Grimshaw, offered: “Lovely news! Welcome to the world, Constance.”

Jane Danson and Jude Riordan also offered their congratulations to the new parents, with more Corrie stars following, including Samia Longchambon, Lucy Fallon, Cait Fitton, Olivia Frances Brown, Andy Whyment and Catherine Tyldesley.
Sharing their messages for the couple and baby Constance were also Emmerdale star Danny Miller and former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer.
“Congratulations you three! All the love in the world,” Miller wrote, while Palmer said: “Congratulations both of you.”
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
