Industry giants normally mean those celebrities we can’t imagine Hollywood without. In this case, the same applies except that they are, well, giant. These famous faces have been gracing the screen for years but have likely found themselves humbled by a door frame or two.

André the Giant, born André Roussimoff, was a French wrestler known as “the eighth wonder of the world”. At 7 foot 4, it was no surprise he found success in a sport built on strength and body slams.
He also found a home on screen with films like The Princess Bride, starring as the ultimately kind-hearted outlaw Fezzik. André was also cast in movies like Trading Mom and Micki & Maude.

Peter Mayhew starred as Han Solo’s most trusted co-pilot and friend

Han Solo would be nothing without his trusty co-pilot Chewbacca. The furry giant was brought to life by Peter Mayhew who stood at an impressive 7 foot 3.
Peter last appeared in the role in 2015’s Star Wars instalment The Force Awakens. The actor sadly passed on 30 April 2019 at 74 years old.

Shaquille O’Neal has won fame on the court and as a figure of fun

His ex-wife Sofia Vergara and fiancée Cailtin O’Connor both stand at 5 foot 7, giving Joe and his romantic partners past and present a height difference of 10 inches, just shy of a foot.
