Olivia Wilde spoke for the first time about her relationship with Caspar Jopling.The couple has been romantically linked since September 2025.Jopling was previously married to singer Ellie Goulding.
In June 2026, Olivia Wilde spoke about her boyfriend, Caspar Jopling, for the first time in an interview. Up until that point, the director had kept her relationship out of the spotlight.
She explained why, telling The Cut, “When you’re with someone who’s not in the entertainment industry or isn’t a public figure, I have a sense of, ‘I want to protect this person as much as I can.’”
She then spoke about their dynamic more broadly. “I’m in a really lovely relationship now,” she said. “I adore him, and I feel completely whole and intact as a person. I think it’s only possible after spending a couple years alone. If you haven’t ever been single for a few years, how do you even know who you are?”

Wilde was formerly engaged to comedian Jason Sudeikis, with whom she shares two children: Otis, 12, and Daisy, 9. She then dated pop star Harry Styles for a little over a year, ending the relationship in November 2022. This marks her first public relationship since then.

Who is Caspar Jopling?
While he’s not in the entertainment business per se, Caspar Jopling is an art dealer who is familiar with fame. He was previously married to musician Ellie Goulding from 2019 to 2024. They share one child, their 5-year-old son, Arthur.
And his sister, Tamara Meade, won an Emmy Award for her work as a makeup artist on Netflix’s Wednesday in 2023, which the proud brother celebrated on Instagram.
On Jopling’s LinkedIn profile, he’s listed as a 2014 graduate of Harvard with a BA in History of Art and Architecture and Film Studies. He then went to the University of Oxford for his MBA from the Saïd Business School.
He later worked at Sotheby’s before moving to White Cube gallery, which is owned by his uncle Jay Jopling.
He met Ellie Goulding in 2017 at a mutual friend’s dinner, and they started dating. They married in 2019 and announced their split in 2024.
Goulding wrote on her Instagram Stories that they “privately separated some time ago” and remain “the closest of friends.”
“We are committed to protecting our family’s privacy and thank people in advance for respecting our wishes—we won’t be commenting further,” she added. “Thank you.”
How long have they been together?
Wilde and Jopling were seen at The Pelican, a restaurant in London, in photos taken in September 2025. They were then spotted kissing outside on the street before getting into a taxi.
In January 2026, a source told People that the relationship was going well.
“It seems to be getting serious,” the insider said. “He’s introduced her to his family and friends.”
