Elliot Page has left fans swooning after he showed off the results of all of his hard work in the gym.

The 39-year-old actor announced that he has become ‘hooked’ on boxing in a new post shared to Instagram on Monday (29 June) – and he’s got the six pack to prove it.

He says that training at a gym where legends such as Muhammad Ali, Jake LaMotta and Roberto Duran used to batter the bags has now become an ‘essential’ part of his routine, while sharing an update with fans online.

Page – who uses both he/him and they/them pronouns – took to social media to share snaps of the incredible progress he has made.

The Umbrella Academy star has been getting in the ring with New York-based coach Nolan Hanson at the ‘world-famous’ Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn.

Both amateurs and professionals train at the venue, and it seems that actors who fancy swinging a few punches are also a fan of the place too.

Earlier this week, Page shared a post on social media that included footage of him showing off his boxing skills as he sparred with Hanson.

But it was the image which accompanied these videos which really set tongues wagging, as people couldn’t believe how ripped the Juno actor has become.

Page heaped praise on his coach in the caption of the post, saying he felt ‘incredibly fortunate’ to work alongside Hanson in the gym.

“He’s a brilliant teacher, not just in the way he breaks down complex movements, but also in his strategic understanding of boxing and his thoughtful approach to the psychological side of the sport,” Page said.

“Training with Nolan has become an essential part of my life. If you’re in NYC and looking, I can’t recommend him highly enough.

“Just be warned, you may end up getting as hooked as I am.”

Fans of Page were wowed by the wonders that his latest fitness obsession has done for his physique, as demonstrated by a comment left by one person which read: “BRUHHHHH. Absolutely marvellous six pack, what the hell.”

Another said: “You could wash laundry on those abs! Keep it up! Amazing!!!! Way to get us all motivated to get off our butts lol.”

A third added: “Ripped. Torn. Shredded!!! LFG! You look amazing dude!”

Speaking to Esquire back in 2022, Page said in the past ‘working out always felt like such a conundrum, because it didn’t feel good’.

However, since coming out as trans, he said: “The experience of being in my body now is so different. I’m absolutely hooked.

“The feeling of being really engaged with it, present, pushing it and getting stronger and gaining weight. It’s thrilling. I feel like a kid doing it.”

Page’s partner, actress Julia Shiplett, was also seen expressing her admiration under his post with a lips emoji, suggesting she also hugely approves of the actor’s new look.

The pair debuted their romance at Milan Fashion Week in September last year.

Page had previously been married to Emma Portner, who was publicly supportive of him when he came out as trans in December 2020.

In January 2021, the pair then announced that they would be divorcing and had been separated since the previous summer.

Later on down the line, Page then went public with Shiplett and has been sharing loved-up snaps of them both online in recent months.

His partner is a comedian, writer and actress who’s credits include appearances in shows such as Crashing, American Dad!, Ad World and Overcompensating.

Shiplett gushed about her love for Page in an Instagram post back in February, which she shared in honour of his 39th birthday.

“How lucky I am to have such a sweet, patient, supportive boo thang who always wants to order fries,” she wrote. “You’ve cracked my lil crone heart open and celebrating you is a breeze.”

The actor is among the star-studded cast for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, The Odyssey.

Matt Damon stars in the upcoming blockbuster adaptation of the Homer epic as Odysseus, the Greek hero behind the Trojan Horse as he makes his 10-year journey home from war.

Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong’o have also been cast in the highly-anticipated flick, which is set to be released next month.
