That is the message from Norfolk’s newest fish and chip shop, which is bringing the nation’s favourite meal to a market town.
Will’s Plaice, which has a shop in East Runton, has officially opened in North Walsham and is drawing eager customers and is seeing queues out of its door.

Locals had waited for 30 minutes before opening time on its first day on Wednesday with one customer chanting “chips, chips, chips” as the doors opened.
Will Watson, owner of Wills Plaice, said: “I have a fish and chip shop in West Runton, which most know, and I used to live here and work here as a chef in North Walsham.
“Our shop stands out because we try and keep it as traditional as we possibly can.
“Our signature homemade item is the tartar sauce, I would definitely recommend.”

Wills Plaice fries its food in beef dripping, and fish is sourced from a family friend in Grimsby.
Mr Watson said: “The most rewarding part of opening a new shop is seeing people enjoy the food and keeping everything traditional.
“It’s a nod to the golden age of the British chippy.”

Sue Cook made sure she was the first through the doors as she once worked in the building when it was previously a fish and chip shop under the name of Big Fry and then Golden Cod.
She worked in the shop between 1983 and 2001 and had a personal tour of the new venture from Mr Watson before it opened.

Ms Cook said: “I am desperate to try the chips because they are cooked in the proper stuff.
“I am most excited to have haddock and chips and I am very happy there is another fish and chip shop opening in town.”
The shop, on Market Place in the town centre, is open from 12pm to 8pm.
