The world lost Catherine O’Hara earlier this year, and Eugene and Dan Levy’s hit riches-to-rags family comedy, which she was so beloved for, is no longer available on Netflix. But fans can now get their Schitt’s Creek fix on iPlayer. Here’s another triple bill, picking up with Johnny begging the unemployment office and Moira throwing a luncheon for the locals to sell them cosmetic kits (“To your possible beauty!”). With Prince Harry and Meghan set to visit the UK with their family in July – for the first time in four years – there was plenty of royal meat for journalists Katie Nicholl and Jo Elvin to pick at with their guest Piers Morgan in last week’s launch show. Happy Independence Day! For all who celebrate, the BBC has trawled through the archives to collect lesser seen performances from a varied cast of jazzers (Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong), pop royalty (Bruce Springsteen, Carole King, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga) and the unclassifiably fabulous (Liberace). A scruffy conspiracy theorist (Jesse Plemons) and a CEO-maybe-alien (Emma Stone) face off in this wild black comedy. Plemons is Teddy Gatz, a warehouse worker and beekeeper, distraught about the damage done by corporations such as the one Michelle Fuller (Stone) heads up. Teddy’s internet “research” has convinced him Fuller is an Andromedan colonist intent on enslaving humanity, so along with his autistic cousin Don (Aidan Delbis), Teddy plans to kidnap her and negotiate Earth’s liberation. Technically, Bugonia is a remake of a Korean film, but the mischievous mood comes unmistakably from Yorgos Lanthimos, the lauded film-maker behind Poor Things and The Favourite. Ellen E Jones
