On Friday, 3 July, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce invited some 1,000 guests to Madison Square Garden for their star-studded wedding festivities. The highly-anticipated event, which kicked off with a 4 p.m. cocktail hour and didn’t wrap until the following morning, brought together the likes of Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, and Zoë Kravitz.

In addition to the 12-hour-long celebration, Thursday night saw a smaller dinner for about 100 of the couple’s loved ones. At both events, there was a strict no-phone policy that applied not only to guests but also to security personnel and vendors. Still, we’ve swiftly been able to piece together who was there.

Shortly after her engagement, Swift went on The Graham Norton Show to talk about her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl. Speaking briefly on the wedding, she revealed that her plan was to invite “anyone [she’s] ever talked to.”

“I’m so excited about it. I know it’s going to be fun to plan, because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount [of invitations] and people are on the bubble, right? And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there. I’m not gonna do that.”

“I shouldn’t have said any of that,” she added, joking.

Nonetheless, there were some people who were notably absent from the function. Whether out of town or tied up with their own projects, here’s who didn’t make it to MSG for the wedding of the year.

The Prince and Princess of Wales

While Prince William previously joked that he was hoping for an invite to the wedding, the royal couple were not in attendance. No reason was given, though the Princess of Wales was seen at Wimbledon just one day before the event, which might have something to do with it.

That said, William actually made an appearance on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights, in an episode that aired the morning of the wedding.

    Blake Lively

The biggest debate regarding the wedding’s guest list was, undeniably, over whether or not Blake Lively would be in attendance. Since the Gossip Girl star’s messages with Swift were submitted as evidence during her legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, the public has speculated whether or not the friends have remained close. And while we don’t know the reason for her absence from the big day, we do know she was spotted at a horse show in Lake Placid, New York on the night of the rehearsal dinner, some 50 miles away from MSG.

    Ryan Reynolds

With Lively out in Lake Placid during the wedding weekend, it wasn’t surprising that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, was also absent from Swift’s festivities.

    Miles and Keleigh Teller

Another couple that had people speculating? Miles and Keleigh Teller. Swift was once close with the pair (they co-starred in her “I Bet You Think About Me” music video back in 2021), but they were rumoured to have grown apart throughout the past year, making their absence not entirely unexpected.

    Harry Styles

It’s not everyday that you might see your ex in the crowd on your wedding day, but when he’s engaged to one of your close friends, you never know. That said, Harry Styles, who was reportedly with Swift in the early 2010s and is now with Zoë Kravitz, was in the middle of his international tour and remained in London.

    The New York Knicks

While it was widely speculated that the New York Knicks starting line-up was invited back to MSG for the Swift-Kelce wedding, player Josh Hart took to X to debunk the rumours. “Lol bro this fake news,” he wrote.
