The Light Cinema will screen the extended edition of the Oscar winning trilogy, screened back to back, this Saturday to mark 25 years since The Fellowship of the Ring was released.
The screening will start at 10am and run until 11pm – providing a full day of hobbits, Ringwraiths and awkward tomato eating.
The festival promotional material says: “From the cosy comforts of the Shire to the fiery slopes of Mount Doom, this is your chance to experience every heroic speech, every sweeping battle, every meaningful stare into the middle distance and, yes, every single second of extra hobbit content in all its glory.
“Whether you’re a lifelong Tolkien devotee, a proud member of Team Legolas or simply someone who believes second breakfast should be a legally protected meal, join us for an unforgettable cinematic marathon of friendship, courage, temptation and suspiciously good hair.
“One does not simply watch The Lord of the Rings. One commits.”
Tickets cost £21 and are available by visiting https://www.bradfordlitfest.co.uk/event/screening-movie-marathon-the-lord-of-the-rings-extended-editions/
