Luke Wilson is a first-time dad, having recently welcomed a daughter with his girlfriend, Kendall Yates. People reported that the 54-year-old actor and his 24-year-old partner brought their newborn to a press reception for his upcoming Netflix show, The Hawk. According to the tabloid, the couple had the baby in a carrier and were introducing her to Wilson’s castmates.
Wilson and Yates have been together since 2023 but mostly fly under the radar. She accompanied him to the premiere of Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 last year, and the two have occasionally been photographed going on walks around Los Angeles. Other than that, the couple are pretty quiet.
Even though this is Wilson’s first child, he has wanted to be a dad for almost 20 years. In 2007, at 35, he told People that he “definitely” wanted kids at “some point.” How exciting that it finally worked out for him.
In other Luke Wilson news, he recently got trapped in an elevator at the Academy Museum with Wes Anderson and James L. Brooks. Thankfully, he was freed by the fire department — he had to get home and sanitize some bottles!
