When turning 40, it’s important to have all your nearest and dearest at your birthday dinner. For Lindsay Lohan, that meant that Ayesha Curry had to be there. Lohan and Curry are one of our top-tier celebrity friendships, falling somewhere below Matt Damon and Ben Affleck but above Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.

Lohan’s birthday was last week, and “Page Six” reported that the actress celebrated by renting out Le Bilboquet in Sag Harbor for 60 of her closest friends, including Ayesha and Steph Curry. “Some of you have known me since I was a little girl and some have become lifelong friends along the way,” Lohan reportedly told her guests. “Every one of you has helped shape the person that I am today.” Do you think Ayesha watched The Parent Trap growing up and thought, I’m going to be really important to that girl one day? I hope so!

If you’re wondering how on earth Lohan linked up with Curry, you clearly weren’t paying attention two years ago, when the women were promoting their Netflix film Irish Wish. The pair met through a mutual friend and got together for the first time when Curry was on vacation in Dubai. It was friendship love at first sight, and Lohan eventually asked the Currys to be godparents to her son, Luai. As for what these two do together, Curry told Bustle in 2024 they both love to cook and that Lohan makes a “mean borscht.”

If that’s not enough for a deep, meaningful friendship, what is?
