Kristin Cavallari apparently has no problem making her kids fly coach … even when she’s all the way up in first class. The former Hills star stopped by the Aspire With Emma Grede podcast earlier this week to explain how she broaches the topic of privilege with her three children: 13-year-old son Camden, 12-year-old Jaxon, and 10-year-old daughter Saylor. And at least when it comes to travel, Cavallari doesn’t hesitate to put her kids in economy. “I’m like, ‘Bye, guys, have fun back there,’” she said. “It’s good for them.”

The 39-year-old said she doesn’t find it particularly “difficult” to sit in first class, separated from her kids in the back. First, because they’re no longer toddlers and have, for the most part, stopped fighting. And second, because she believes it helps them understand that they’ve grown up in a “very fortunate situation.” But that in no way means they get whatever they want. “If they want something, they have to work for it,” Cavallari added. “I want them to know, ‘This is not your money. This is my money.’”
Cavallari says the brood, whom she co-parents with ex-husband Jay Cutler, have experimented with making “their own little businesses,” including “washing people’s windows” and “washing people’s garbage cans.” Now that’s the entrepreneurial spirit!
