Alyson Hannigan, best known for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and How I Met Your Mother, attended Handmade Oxford in June during a visit to the UK and shared her experience on social media.

    Handmade Oxford, now in its 6th edition, is took place from Friday, June 12 to Sunday, 14 on the lawns of Waterperry House.

    The event at the manor house near Wheatley showcased more than 150 UK-based makers in a curated selection of contemporary arts and crafts, including jewellery, ceramics, textiles, glass, furniture and sculpture.

    It also featured live music by local musicians, local artisan food and hands-on workshops for visitors.

    Ms Hannigan said: “While I was in London I had the best day at the Handmade Oxford craft dair soaking up all the talent and creativity

    Need tog et back to my sewing machine ASAP!”

    She is best known for playing Willow Rosenberg in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lily Aldrin in How I Met Your Mother.

    Visitors to the fair could explore the grounds of Waterperry Gardens while enjoying craft demonstrations.

    The former Buffy The Vampire Slayer actress said she will miss late co-star Anthony Head “forever”, following his death in June aged 72.

    Handmade Oxford also offered a packed programme of craft workshops and demonstrations designed to inspire and engage visitors of all ages.

    This year’s edition also included jewellery, fashion, textiles, ceramics, glass, furniture, sculpture and stationery.

    A selection of workshops and demonstrations ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy throughout the three-day event.
