During an appearance on the Zach Sang Show podcast, the actress said that âI did a screen test for a movie that never ended up going about a pop star that was like Britney Spears.â
âI didnât look to them like what a pop star looks like⊠So they dyed my hair blonde and they put these extensions in, they gave me a tan.â
The 46-year-old explained that she got the audition for Elf shortly afterwards and she decided to keep her hair the way it was.
âOnce I got cast I was like, âWell, can I dye my hair back brown?â and they were like, âNo, you need to look how you looked in the auditionâ. So, thatâs how I ended up blonde in Elf.â
She added, âIt was really random.â
