The Odyssey is officially out in theaters, and that means Zendaya’s latest bout of method dressing (thank you, Law Roach) has come to a close. Marking the transition, she has wiped the slate clean with a look that’s less Athena and more Greaser.

Despite the summer heat, the actor stepped out in New York City on Friday, July 17 wearing a full leather-on-leather ensemble. On top, she layered a black leather blazer jacket over a white scoop neck, leaving the piece open for a bit of breeze. The outerwear was designed with wide, structured shoulders, little lapels, and flap pockets. Its counterpart—elongated slim-fit pants—hugged the legs from a low-rise waistband all the way down to Zendaya’s shiny heels, where they covered the upper half of the stiletto in black leather.

As opposed to the Chopard, Messika, Tiffany & Co., and Fope diamonds she accessorized with during the press tour, the star kept her jewelry minimal here—opting against earrings at all. And, after nights of wavy hair extensions and halo braids, her short bob was simply blown out with a deep side part.

While promoting Christopher Nolan’s take on the ancient Greek epic by Homer, Zendaya embraced the best of Grecian style—working with her stylist, Roach, on a collection of gold and white looks that brought her character of Athena to the modern day. From a Matières Fécales couture gown with feather angel wings to custom Louis Vuitton and Jacquemus to straight-off-the-runway Schiaparelli by Daniel Roseberry, the duo did it all.
