The insiders have exposed a major humiliation for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry before their meeting with King Charles last week in UK.
The Radar Online, citing the insiders, has reported that the orders of this move came directly from the monarch ahead of the reunion.
Meghan, Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet were reunited with King Charles and Queen Camilla at the monarch’s private Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire after the Duke completed engagements linked to the countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
The close source claimed the California-based royal couple are said to have been subjected to stringent security checks before their closely guarded reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla.
The report claims it was part of lingering concerns over privacy and fears that sensitive family conversations could be exposed.
The insider said, “Every precaution was taken before the Sussexes were allowed into the residence. Staff were determined that nothing capable of recording private conversations or compromising security would make its way inside.
“It was undoubtedly an uncomfortable experience for Harry and Meghan, as they were essentially frisked like any other commoner, but those organizing the visit believed it was essential – and the order came directly from Charles.”
The close sources went on saying the searches were ‘embarrassing’ for Meghan and Harry, however, the officials – and the King – felt “there was no alternative.”
