There are *finally* some emerging details on how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reunion with King Charles and Queen Camilla went. After years worth of tensions between Harry, Meghan, and the rest of the royal family in England, the meeting served as the first time the Sussexes have gone as a family since 2022—so yeah, the reunion is a pretty big deal.
So, how did it go? Welp, royal author Christopher Andersen told Page Six, “one gets the sense that, from Meghan’s perspective, the reunion with Charles and Camilla wasn’t entirely warm and fuzzy.” Maybe they just need some more time to repair their relationship?

As previously reported, Camila dropped everything to make sure that she was in attendance. A source told Vanity Fair that Camilla drove over from her house to Highgrove in “quite a hurry,” while royal author Catherine Mayer told People that “she is a non-negotiable part of Charles’ life. There is no reconciliation with him without her.”
“The king wanted to see Harry and the children,” The Vanity Fair source said. “A time was agreed for the Sussexes to come to Highgrove on Friday afternoon, and it was uncharacteristically last-minute for the king. Everyone was sworn to secrecy so that the meeting could remain private.”

“Charles wanted Camilla to be there for moral support and because she has been a pillar of strength for him throughout all the drama with Harry, and she dropped everything,” the Vanity Fair insider added. “She told no one—not even her family. She just got in the car and headed over. They were all on a mission to keep the meeting as watertight as possible.”
Before even meeting, all parties agreed on keeping it as top-secret as possible, a source close to Meghan and Harry told Vanity Fair. “The agreement was made before they met the king that nothing would be shared—no photos, no details. It was a top-secret arrangement and they pulled it off, and frankly they are delighted about that.”
