How much fans paid for World Cup Final ticket
Before Spain-Argentina World Cup Final, fans share how much they paid for their ticket to be there.
Sports Seriously
The World Cup is always a global affair.
Fans get to learn about customs and traditions from around the world, including national anthems and music trends in each country.
The pre-match ceremonies ahead of the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain on Sunday, July 19 will feature the national anthems of the two sides playing and also the “Star-Spangled Banner,” the national anthem of the United States.
Jennifer Hudson will be doing the honors a week after performing at the MLB All-Star Game, which was extra patriotic for the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Typically, a host country will not have its national anthem played or performed during the final. That honor goes to the nations participating. However, FIFA wanted to celebrate the culture of the U.S. to bookend the festivities, which started in June.
“Echoing the spirit of the opening ceremonies, which welcomed the world to the greatest stage in Canada, Mexico and the United States, the closing ceremony will bring the FIFA World Cup 2026 full circle through music, culture and football, before we kick off the highly anticipated match that will crown the champions of this groundbreaking tournament,” Heimo Schirgi, chief operating officer of FIFA World Cup 2026, said in a release.
