The former host of BBC show Top Gear and Amazon Prime series The Grand Tour made the claim in his latest column for The Sunday Times in the context of his recent cancer treatment.
During the latest series of Clarkson’s Farm, the 66-year-old revealed that he had been diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of cancer.

Mr Clarkson has found new fame in recent years as an advocate for the UK farming industry, on the back off his show Clarkson’s Farm set at 1,000-acre estate Diddly Squat.
“I’ve got cancer,” Mr Clarkson told farm manager Kaleb Cooper and land agent Charlie Ireland during discussions about harvest planning.

The TV presenter said he expected to be “fine” but would be out of action “for a while”, before revealing in the final episode of the series that he had undergone an operation to remove part of his prostate.
Following the episode, there were widespread tributes to the presenter and former journalist with some even terming him a ‘national treasure’.
Writing in The Sunday Times, he revealed that he “liked” the praise he had received following the announcement of his health issues and that he was considering becoming “a kind person, a tolerant person” as a result.

Mr Clarkson has been a controversial figure in the past due to comments aired on television as well as his punching of a Top Gear producer which led to him leaving the show.
However, despite these recent revelations he said he wouldn’t be able to be that person.
“It’s unrealistic,” he said.
He finished off his column by cursing the pilots who fly over his estate and disturb the filming of Clarkson’s Farm.
