New York New Jersey Stadium was sold-out on Sunday for the FIFA World Cup 2026 final. Spain and Argentina soccer fans filled majority of the seats, but there was also no shortage of star power at the venue.

    Hollywood celebrities and sports legends witnessed the historic matchup live. Some of them were captured on video, while others were shown on the jumbotron and received huge ovations.

    Shakira, Justin Bieber, Madonna and BTS, among others, headlined the halftime show. Off the stage, David Beckham, Victoria Beckham, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Tmothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner enjoyed the game from their VIP boxes. Other celebrities spotted were Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Matt Damon, Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae.

    Jennifer Hudson, Hoyeon, Carlos Alcaraz, Tom Brady, Maria Becerra, MrBeast, Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez were also among the thousands of fans in attendance. The halftime show was curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, with Burna Boy, PS22 choir, Gustavo Dudamel and The Muppets part of the performers.

    Ferran Torres was the brightest star of the day

    The game ended at 0-0 after minutes and headed into extra time. Ferran Torres broke the tie in the 106th minute with a powerful strike straight to the net. Spain capitalized on its one-man advantage after Argentina’s Enzo Fernández was sent off in stoppage-time.

    It was La Roja’s second World Cup title in history. They set a new mark for the fewest goals allowed by a champion team, conceding just one throughout the tournament. Spain also recorded seven cleat sheets.
