For nine years, Judi Evans portrayed Paulina Cory Carlino after actress Cali Timmins left the role in 1991. Now 35 years after her debut, Evans took to social media to reflect on the character and the fictional town she called home for nearly a decade.
Evans shared her thoughts on Instagram, with a corral of photos and memories, writing in the caption, “35 years since my start on Another World. I miss these people, these characters, these stories…”
The actress added that she missed the fictional town of Bay City and her beloved character, Paulina Cory. She ended her post celebrating those who made it happen, the fans, writing, “Thank you AW fans ❤️.”
Another World aired for 35 years on NBC, with nearly 9,000 episodes, between 1964 and its cancellation in 1999.
During Evans’ time on the soap, she was part of many front-burner storylines, one of the most important of which occurred between 1996 and 1997, when Paulina struggled to lose weight after the birth of her son, Dante. Paulina went to extreme measures, fearing that her husband Joe Carlino wouldn’t be attracted to her anymore. Eventually, Paulina found herself hooked on diet pills, which were a gateway drug to abusing alcohol and speed.

Eventually, Paulina would get clean, but her stories were far from over, as her history with drugs and alcohol was used against her when Grant framed her for causing a fire that would eventually burn the Carlino household down to the ground.
Though Evans never won a Daytime Emmy for her portrayal of Paulina Cory Carlino, she did pick up a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress for Another World in 1998.
Following her departure from Another World, Evans would return to her former NBC soap opera, Days of Our Lives; however, not initially as her popular character, Adrienne Johnson, but rather as her look-alike, Bonnie Lockhart. A role she still plays to this day.
Fans quickly took to the comment section to reflect on their relationship with Another World, One fan shared, “Another World, aka Bay City in my house, gave me some of the best quality time with Mom and my sisters. Plus it also gave us the short lived soap opera Texas which I loved!!”
A second fan added, “God I miss Another World! You were my family growing up, stayed home school many times to watch with my Mama. We cried on the phone together watching the last episode! Thank you for being the best Paulina! ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
While a third shared, “Have been a fan since your first day at days then you came to my favorite soap another world & my husband became a fan. Miss this show much.”
While Another World is not currently streaming, fans can catch Evans in her current role of Bonnie on Days of Our Lives with new episodes streaming weekdays on Peacock.
