Avengers: Doomsday is coming, and Marvel is ramping up the anticipation with an ominous new teaser. While we don’t have any new footage yet, the teaser suggests that the trailer is definitely coming this week.
Ever since last July, the official Fantastic Four account has been posting the same clip from the movie every Sunday night, which sees Reed Richards say that they make a point to have family dinner every Sunday at 7pm. But last night’s clip post had an added extra for Marvel fans to enjoy.
As Reed says “no matter what”, the screen cuts to black and we overhear Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) say, “How long do we have?”. Reed then ominously replies: “Not long.”

It appears to be a dialogue exchange from Avengers: Doomsday, unless it’s a deleted scene from The Fantastic Four: First Steps that we haven’t seen. As well as being a teaser of some dark things to come, it also serves as a reminder that we don’t have long to wait for the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday.
Marvel is holding a panel at this weekend’s Comic-Con, so it’s widely believed that the trailer will be shown during that panel which starts at 12.30am Sunday morning in the UK. But perhaps the trailer will be a surprise today when tickets for Avengers: Doomsday go on sale in the US at 2pm UK time.
The theory that the trailer could be arriving today has been strengthened by the fact that Fandango has been advertising the ticket sale with a link to “watch trailer”.
However, when this link goes live, it might just be to one of the four teasers that have already been released. Those four teasers were released in December and January, while a full trailer was shown in April at CinemaCon exclusively for those in attendance.

It’s unclear if the trailer that is finally released online will be the same as the one shown at CinemaCon, or if it’ll include new footage that nobody has seen.
Perhaps we’ll finally get the first footage of Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom though, following the first-look at him in official art released last week.
Avengers: Doomsday is released in cinemas on 18 December.
