Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO over: Divorce after nearly decade
Jelly Roll — whose real name is Jason DeFord — filed for divorce from his podcaster wife, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, on May 18.
As Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo’s divorce is reportedly finalized less than two months after the “Son of a Sinner” singer quietly filed a petition in court, some details about their agreement have become public.
Jelly Roll, 41, whose real name is Jason DeFord, and the podcaster (real name Alisa DeFord) will split their assets as they go their separate ways after nearly 10 years of marriage, according to Tennessee court filings first obtained by TMZ on July 17 and later reported by People and Us Weekly.
The two, who have publicly expressed they remain on good terms, will divide their vehicles, an aircraft and intellectual property rights, the outlets reported. They worked out how to divide their property prior to signing the marital dissolution agreement and plan to divide their various financial accounts, per Us Weekly.
And in lieu of alimony, Jelly Roll will instead pay his ex-wife a lump sum, whose amount remains confidential.

Bunnie and Jelly Roll separated on May 9, according to a May 18 divorce complaint filed by the Grammy-winning singer. They were married in Las Vegas on Aug. 30, 2016.
Bunnie said in the June 18 episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast that she and her ex-husband still want to expand their family through in vitro fertilization.
“We have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered,” she said. “We’re going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn’t what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It’s literally just we served our purpose for each other.”
“He wants the same thing. We’re just going to raise a little nugget as one happy family,” she added.
Bunnie expressed gratitude for where they stand following their divorce, saying, “Being happy and healthy and best friends through this is probably the biggest gift that we could have given each other.”
Jelly Roll has two children, 18-year-old Bailee Ann and 9-year-old Noah Buddy, from previous relationships.
Bunnie indicated in a July 3 Instagram story that she might enroll at Arizona State University, where received an admission acceptance letter.
