South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) and Tramlines recommend travelling to the festival via public transport as there is no on-site parking or on surrounding residential roads.
Mayor Oliver Coppard said: “We’re making it even easier this year for people to get there and back – we’ve got extra trams running when it’s busiest, and we’re trying out some new ticket offers too.
“From Friday 24 July to Sunday 27 September, two new £10 tram offers (a one-day group ticket and a weekend individual ticket), valid across all Supertram services, will be available to help customers make the most of tram travel for less over the summer.
“During the festival from Friday to Sunday from 11:00 BST until approximately 18:00 BST, trams will run from the city centre up to every six minutes serving Hillsborough Park and Leppings Lane tram stops – located close to the venue, and Hillsborough tram stop, which is a five-minute walk to the park.”
