The women of the Royal Family all have their own personal sense of style, but there are still plenty of overlaps. We therefore often see them borrowing from each-other’s looks, and rolodex of brands and designers. This week, both Queen Camilla and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh were singing from the same fashion hymn book when they chose vibrant, printed midi dresses from the same British fashion house.
On Wednesday 22 July, Queen Camilla joined King Charles at Sandringham Flower Show, which was held on Sandringham estate for the first time this year. For the summery occasion, Queen Camilla chose a long sleeve midi dress in a green paisley print. White piping down panels at the sides of the dress added structure without feeling restrictive, while the design also included a practical and much-loved feature to women’s clothing – pockets!
Queen Camilla was wearing the ‘Deborah Dress’ in ‘Green Paisley’ by British brand Lexy London. Elsewhere this week, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh also turned to the brand for a visit to the Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd. The Duchess has been a long time advocate for rural an farming communities, and this visit was her first as patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations (ASAO).

Sophie chose Lexy London’s ‘Gudrun Dress’ in ‘Helibore’, which was also in a green print but with orange – rather than white – detailing and puff sleeves. Sophie’s look is in available in two designs; one with a light frill around the collar and a tie waist which Sophie wears, and another (the ‘Tara’ design) which fastens with a tassle. Both are adjustable so the hem of the dress can be raised or lowered by a couple of inches, depending on the preferred fit.
The Duchess and Queen Camilla’s dresses still are available to buy online, although they’re both rapidly selling out. However, we’ve found a similar high street alternative for each that (at time of writing) has plenty of stock availability – and at a more affordable price point.

While at the Sandringham Flower Show, Queen Camilla presented a special award. The Queen’s Choice of Upcycled Containers went to the ‘The Pollinator Patch’ by Whissonet & District Horticultural Society & Gardening Club. In this category, ‘local community school groups used discarded materials to create mini containers,’ explained the Royal Family in a post on social media.
