The disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was sent to solitary confinement after getting into a prison fight this week, TMZ reports.

According to TMZ, the prison fight began when another inmate insulted Combs, who is currently serving a 50-month sentence at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey after a jury convicted him on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution last year. Combs allegedly “took matters into his own hands,” and the men reportedly shoved and hit each other until prison staff separated them and sent Diddy into solitary confinement. It’s not clear whether he’s still there. “We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody,” a Fort Dix representative told TMZ on Friday.

Since Diddy was sentenced last year, his release date has been moved up twice, first to April 2028, then February. The Federal Bureau of Prisons did not comment on the changes but cited “good conduct time” as one of the general reasons sentences get shortened.

The Cut has reached out to a representative for Diddy. We will update this post if we hear back.
