As a royal patron to several organizations dedicated to food and farming, Sophie attends a number of agricultural shows each summer, which she has championed in a recent published essay. For a visit to the Groundswell Regenerative Agriculture Festival in July 2026, the Duchess wore head-to-toe Penelope Chilvers, pairing one of the British label’s blouses and skirts with its boots. She accessorized with a Loewe watch and bracelets by Asprey London and Alex Monroe. Sophie also wore this blouse and skirt set to the Royal Windsor Flower Show in June.

In late June 2026, the Duchess of Edinburgh visited the isle of Jersey, a British Crown dependency in the English Channel, for a two-day official visit. According to the BBC, it was believed to be the first visit to the reef by a member of the royal family. It also happened to take place during a record-breaking heat wave across Europe, so Sophie dressed comfortably for the weather in a white and pink floral sundress by Lexy London, paired with gold Jimmy Choo wedge sandals she had worn the day before.

Summer fashion typically means bright colors, and Sophie is known for wearing light hues or even jewel tones to formal events. So it was a surprise when the Duchess arrived at Royal Ascot in 2026 two days in a row in dark dresses, both by Suzannah London. Sophie paired this navy midi dress, covered in bows, with a special piece of jewelry from her collection: a necklace of alternating white and black pearls, interspersed with white gold rondels and a matching cross pendant, which was part of a suite that she wore on her wedding day to Prince Edward in 1999.

In August 2025, Sophie, dressed casually in a multiprint dress from Lexi London, had afternoon tea with James “Jim” Wren, a 105-year-old Royal Marines veteran at the Sarum Manor Care Home in Salisbury, England. Wren went through a photo album with the Duchess, who appeared teary-eyed in several images from the meeting. She also met four generations of Wren’s family.
