San Diego Comic-Con is a huge event filled with no shortage of exciting announcements about many iconic sagas. However, Marvel’s Hall H panel has consistently proven to be the main event to be on the lookout for. It was here that Robert Downey Jr. was announced to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Doom, and where the lineups for entire phases have been revealed. As such, expectations were at an all-time high for the 2026 edition of SDCC, especially since we are heading toward the end of the Multiverse Saga.
Marvel has many heavy-hitter projects on the horizon, like Avengers: Doomsday, VisionQuest, X-Men, and more. However, the superhero giant remained tight-lipped about all of them, trying to keep its cards close to its chest in order to take fans by surprise. Fortunately, the time for reveals is finally here, as the superhero giant has lifted the curtain at SDCC 2026 to give us a small glimpse of what’s to come.
Every Marvel reveal at San Diego Comic-Con 2026
After Marvel’s Wolverine and MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls both had their time to shine with dedicated panels at SDCC, Marvel Studios took over the Hall H panel on Saturday, Jul. 25, 2026, with an hour’s worth of reveals, and here’s everything you need to know:
Marvel’s presentation was slightly delayed due to the previous panel running over time. In the meantime, attendees were handed Doctor Doom masks and capes. Soon after, the sound of a motorcycle engine echoed in Hall H, prompting many to believe a Ghost Rider announcement could be on its way.

While Marvel was gearing up for the start of its presentation, H.E.R.B.I.E. took over the stage to entertain the crowd during the delay.

Marvel’s panel eventually started, and the superhero giant kicked things off with a sizzle reel showcasing previous MCU films and iconic moments from other Hall H presentations. Interestingly, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man was seen in the footage. Kevin Feige then stepped on the stage and stated that movies would be the focus of attention: “Today we’re mainly going to be talking about movies… that’s what brings us together in Hall H.”

The first item to discuss was the re-release of Avengers: Endgame. The 2019 crossover will return to theaters on September 25 and will include an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday.
Things quickly took an explosive turn when a major MCU casting was announced. It has been highly rumored that supernatural characters and storylines will take over the MCU after the end of the Multiverse Saga, and now that idea has been all but confirmed. Marvel has a new Ghost Rider, and it is none other than Ryan Gosling himself. The Canadian actor has been fan-cast for the role multiple times, and he previously expressed interest in playing the character in interviews, so this is a match made in… hell? (Which would be fitting for a character like Ghost Rider).

Ryan Gosling opened up about the opportunity to play an iconic Marvel anti-hero by stating: “Is this really happening?! As you know, this is a character I’ve wanted to play for a very long time.” Additionally, the character is set to have his own standalone movie in the MCU, directed by Shawn Levy, who previously helmed Deadpool & Wolverine.

Marvel quickly switched from supernatural characters to street-level adventures. Jon Bernthal stepped onto the stage and introduced a new clip of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which showcased Spider-Man and the Punisher fighting the Hulk. Kevin Feige then added: “The Punisher, Spider-Man and the Hulk in a movie together? I never thought I’d see the day.”
At long last, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes assembled at SDCC. The Russo Brothers introduced the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, who surrounded the crowd inside Hall H. Robert Downey Jr. then encouraged audiences to join Doctor Doom’s crusade by stating: “Decisions will have to be made… perhaps joining the family of Doom… come over to the green side.”

Fans expected Peggy Carter to come back for the events of Avengers: Doomsday after it was announced that Steve Rogers would also make his long-awaited return. Fortunately, this has now been confirmed, as Hayley Atwell has officially joined the cast of Marvel’s next crossover movie.

Ryan Reynolds then stormed the Hall H stage dressed in his iconic Deadpool costume. He asked directors the Russo Brothers if it would be possible to include any last-minute additions to the Avengers: Doomsday cast. Unfortunately, it seems the chaotic anti-hero won’t be part of Marvel’s upcoming ensemble, but Reynolds mentioned that news about his character could come soon.
Marvel then gave attendees a new Avengers: Doomsday poster and presented an exclusive new look at the film.

A question fans have had in mind for a long time now is whether Doctor Doom and Reed Richards already know each other in the MCU. Fortunately, Robert Downey Jr. put all speculation to rest by announcing that their characters have history and that some of Marvel’s most iconic heroes will turn to “the Dark Side” to join Doom.

After Earth’s Mightiest Heroes had their chance to shine, Ryan Coogler took the microphone to announce that Black Panther 3 will be released on Dec. 15, 2028. But in case that wasn’t enough, a new Black Panther was also revealed: David Jonsson will officially be the King of Wakanda by portraying T’Challa’s son in the movie.

With that announcement, Marvel officially concluded its Hall H panel at SDCC. While fans expected additional reveals, it’s worth noting that D23 will take place from August 14 to 16. The Disney event could be the perfect opportunity for TV updates, especially since Daredevil: Born Again season 3 and VisionQuest are just around the corner. Furthermore, after the release of Avengers: Doomsday, we’re bound to get even more news about the future of the MCU.
