When it comes to risk-taking fashion, Tracee Ellis Ross is the reigning queen.
On July 23, the actor delivered not one, not two, but three head-turning looks while promoting her Broadway play, Every Brilliant Thing, in New York City.
She started the day off strong with a look from Willy Chavarria’s Spring/Summer 2027 runway collection. The nearly all-gray outfit featured an oversized plaid button-up tucked into a pair of high-waisted Bermuda shorts. Ross polished off the look with black shades, thick gold huggie earrings, and brown peep-toe sandals.

Later in the day, Ross swapped the grays for a bright splash of color. This consisted of head-to-toe Loewe via green logo-embossed leather pants, a white tank top, and cherry red slingbacks. She played with proportions by accessorizing with oversize shield sunglasses.

For her third look of the day, Ross delivered a lesson in color blocking. She pulled another runway look, this time from Prada’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection. This involved a pale blue button-up that was loosely tucked into a bright red midi skirt, which featured sparkling sequins embellished towards the hemline. She wrapped up the look with silver wishbone-shaped earrings from Agmes, a small straw bag, and black satin heels.

Her tour de fashion didn’t end there. The day prior, Ross ventured out in a showstopping all-black look by Sportsmax. The outfit featured sheer pleated trousers layered over shorts, plus an asymmetrical blouse with similar sheer details across one shoulder. To accessorize, Ross added silver fringe earrings, a large leather tote bag, and slick black heels.
