An eclectic bachelor party has assembled for an unforgettable 72 Hours.
In the comedy — which is now streaming on Netflix — Hart stars as Joe, a 40-year-old executive hoping to save his job by joining a group of Gen Zers for a three-day bachelor party in Miami after he’s accidentally added to their group chat.
“Kevin [and] the crew — Marcello [Hernández], Mason [Gooding], Ben [Marshall], and Kam [Patterson] — are a dynamic team that you just cannot miss,” says director Tim Story (Barbershop, Think Like a Man, Ride Along).
There’s plenty to look forward to during the gang’s outlandish weekend, including a sunny yacht party, a party bus ride along South Beach, and an abundance of comedic jabs aimed at Hart’s character.
“72 Hours is, in many ways, the story of Kevin Hart realizing he’s old now,” Marshall jokes. Hernández takes the joke one step further, saying, “[It’s] Kevin Hart trying to fit in with the young guys, which is very real in his personal life from what I have read.”
While the cast is quick to poke fun at Hart, Gooding says the film ultimately comes back to “that cultural exchange that takes place when interacting with different generations.”

About the Character
Joe is an ace advertising executive who’s spent years climbing the corporate ladder. But when he’s told he’s lost his finger on the pulse of youth culture, he jumps at the chance to join a group of twentysomethings for a fun-filled bachelor weekend in Miami.
Hart leads a fresh-faced ensemble that includes Marcello Hernández, Mason Gooding, Ben Marshall, and Kam Patterson. When it comes to offering advice to his younger co-stars, the TV and film vet keeps it simple and, naturally, funny.
“Don’t get used to this because you guys aren’t gonna make it,” he jokes.

About the Character
Meet Mason, the groom-to-be. Sensible and grounded, he’s the guy who’s always checking in on his friends, offering sound advice, and genuinely excited to be a husband. Before he walks down the aisle, though, he must survive a bachelor party gone awry in Miami.
That dependable nature is exactly what drew Gooding to the role. “Mason is the emotional bedrock of his friend group,” says Gooding. “[He] hopes for the best for everyone he surrounds himself with.”
For Gooding, working alongside a group of comedians made his on-set experience quite memorable.
“I was able to enjoy a stand-up routine pretty much every time I stepped on set,” he shares. “That’s both in watching incredibly talented comedians navigate hilarious circumstances in an authentically hilarious way, and being treated to some of the funniest green-room banter I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.”

Marcello Hernández
as Nick
About the Character
In 72 Hours, Nick is Mason’s childhood best friend and, as Hernández puts it, the “worst best man.” Although he’s excited for his buddy — he even organized their bachelor weekend — Nick is terrified of losing his lifelong friend to marriage.
Hernández was eager to work with Kevin Hart, calling it an exciting opportunity. “I’m grateful I got to watch him work,” he says. “I learned a lot from him over the summer.”
Hernández also lauds his experience with director Tim Story. “Tim is such a nice guy. He has a lot of experience, and a great rapport with Kevin, so it was cool to watch them work together and see how their relationship has flourished,” Hernández says. “He was also open and available to the cast, always. He’s a great guy.”
Working alongside his Saturday Night Live colleagues Ben Marshall and Kam Patterson was an added bonus, Hernández says. “[It was] like summer camp with friends from school.”

Hunter is a tall, sensitive guy who’s struggling to get over a breakup. “He brings that classic sad guy energy that every bachelor party needs,” Marshall tells Tudum.
Marshall is no stranger to comedy. A current SNL cast member, Marshall first joined the show in 2021 alongside his Please Don’t Destroy collaborators John Higgins and Martin Herlihy before becoming a full-time cast member in 2025.
So what excited him about working with Kevin Hart on 72 Hours? “It was fun getting to teach Kevin Hart valuable lessons about how to build a career in comedy,” Marshall quips. “He’s a hot, up-and-coming talent and I’m excited to see where he takes it.”

About the Character
Barry is Joe’s friend and colleague who’s fully supportive of Joe’s shenanigans. Now settled into married life with kids, he hopes to live vicariously through Joe’s misadventures in Miami.
Cherry jumped at the chance to work with Story, whose films he’s long admired. “I was very excited to work with Tim,” says Cherry. “He was great to work with and [I] had fun every day.”
The film’s chaotic three-day bachelor party was another big draw for Cherry. “Expect 72 hours straight of comedy,” the actor adds.
