Photographer Timothy White’s résumé includes album art (for Michael Bolton, Billy Joel and Wilson Phillips), magazine shoots for Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and Esquire, and having once owned an entire town in the Mojave Desert. Now, at 70, he’s sharing that experience in a new memoir, “Life Through My Lens,” in which he tells the stories behind his photographs. We spoke with White spoke via Zoom about some of his celebrity shoots. Here’s what he told us.
