EXCLUSIVE: Thud, the darkly comedic supernatural romance starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as the Grim Reaper and Rudy Pankow as the Devil, on which we were first to report, has added seven to its cast: Piper Curda (Hoppers), Sujata Day (Insecure), Sterling Sulieman (Scrambled), Steve Agee (Peacemaker), Karan Soni (Deadpool), Dot-Marie Jones (Glee) and Katie Parker (The Fall of the House of Usher).
Character details are under wraps. Directed by Mali Elfman, from an original screenplay by Noga Pnueli, the film watches as the Grim Reaper and the Devil wreak havoc at a three-day destination wedding as they fall in love.
Derek Bishé and David Grove Churchill Viste are the producers of the project, which shot in Los Angeles and has now wrapped principal photography. EPs include Helmstreet Productions’ Lindsay Helms and Joel Nevells, Divide/Conquer’s Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks, Radio Silence’s Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Dan Lawler and Pnueli.
