Picture Credit: Instagram Former child actor Gazala Salmin appeared in the 1994 film ‘Anjaam’ where she shared the big screen with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and veteran actress Madhuri Dixit. Recently, Gazala Salmin also known as “Baby Gazala” shared about her experience of working with the King. She recalled how SRK, who played the villain in the film, was scary on screen but very sweet and caring with her behind the camera.
Gazala Salmin remembers working with Shah Rukh Khan
Gazala Salmin took to her Instagram handle to share a video where she talked about an action sequence with Shah Rukh Khan and also remembered how the actor made her feel comfortable whenever they met on the sets.She said, “There was one scene with Shah Rukh Khan. I was very little, and we were shooting in Mauritius. By the way, the scenes of my birthday in the movie are all from Mauritius, the birthday scene.”She then recalled how Shah Rukh treated her behind the camera. Gazala said, “I still remember Shah Rukh Khan. He came to me, and he used to just love me so much. And he used to just hug me. Whenever he used to come, he would just hug me. Behind the camera, he was a sweetheart. He was scary in the movie. As a child, I used to get scared, but he always made me so comfortable behind the camera.”
Gazala Salmin did stunts without a harness
Gazala also remembered shooting one of her first stunt sequences in ‘Anjaam’. She revealed that the scene involved Shah Rukh Khan arriving in a car, after which she had to jump and fall.She said, “It was my first stunt scene, where Shah Rukh Khan comes with his car and we bump into each other, and my body jumps and falls.”Recalling the long shoot, she added, “It was from 9 to 6 at night. I was there at night and I wasn’t getting hurt but I could never see how high I actually jumped. I was so scared because there was no harness but. I was safe. Nothing happened. But I jumped so many times, from here to there.”
About ‘Anjaam’
For the unversed, Gazala Salmin was seen as the on-screen daughter of Madhuri Dixit’s character. Directed by Rahul Rawail, ‘Anjaam’ starred Shah Rukh Khan as the antagonist Vijay Agnihotri and Madhuri Dixit as Shivani Chopra.Gazala played Pinky Chopra, Shivani’s daughter. The film also marked the first on-screen pairing of Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit.

On the other Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the release of his much awaited action thriller, ‘King’ which also marks the first theatrical collaboration between him and his daughter Suhana Khan.The film is scheduled to release on December 24, 2026. It will arrive during the Christmas period, shortly after ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which is scheduled for December 18, 2026.
