Stop right now, because the Spice Girls have finally revealed what that mysterious announcement was all about. After sending fans into a frenzy with a cryptic social media post on Wednesday, the group has officially announced The Singles Collection to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Spice. And while anyone manifesting a full-blown reunion tour might have to keep the platform boots in storage for a little longer, there’s still plenty for fans to get excited about.
For the first time ever, all of the group’s singles are being brought together in one collection, complete with original artwork, B-sides, and previously unreleased recordings from their archive. Yep, there’s actually never-before-heard Spice Girls music coming.
Set for release on November 6, The Singles Collection will be available as two limited-edition 14-disc box sets, with fans able to choose between 7-inch color vinyl and CD editions.
And naturally, the packaging is suitably Spice Girls. The collection comes in a handbag-inspired box finished in white holographic gloss and matte black foil, because subtle was never really the point. Inside, you’ll find everything from “Wannabe” and “Spice Up Your Life” to “Holler” and “Goodbye,” alongside their original B-sides.
Both versions will also feature previously unreleased material, including “Do You Think About Me,” one of the group’s earliest demos, which is being officially released for the first time.

The CD edition goes even further, with an additional disc containing four previously unreleased demos from the archive.
Meanwhile, the vinyl edition will see every Spice Girls single released on colored 7-inch vinyl for the first time. Each of the 14 records comes in an individual color and its original sleeve, paired with the single’s original lead B-side. The collection will also include five brand-new messages from the Spice Girls themselves.
The announcement comes exactly 30 years after the group began their rise to global pop domination. Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham burst onto the scene with “Wannabe” in 1996, with the debut single reaching number one in 37 countries. Their debut album Spice followed that November and went on to become the best-selling album by a girl group of all time.

Three decades later, the Spice Girls have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, helped make “Girl Power” part of the global lexicon, and provided a generation with a very convincing reason to own platform trainers.
So while today’s big reveal might not quite be the tour announcement some fans were crossing their fingers for, previously unheard Spice Girls tracks 30 years later? We’ll take it.
