“My husband’s turned into some kind of… sheep man!” Umbrella Entertainment has unveiled the totally bokers first official trailer for horror comedy sequel Black Sheeps, a follow-up sequel to the original cult classic horror comedy Black Sheep from 2006. 20 years later the killer sheep are back again! From the same director and made in New Zealand once again, this long-awaited horror comedy is about genetically mutated murder sheep. A young scientist investigates a dangerous new pathogen linked to the events of the first film. This Kiwi sequel stars Tabatha Killick, Lucia Davison, Joseph Witkowski, Ian Harcourt, Heather O’Carroll, Paul Waggott, Renaye Tamati, and Nathan Meister (back from the original). A dangerous pathogen leads a young scientist back to a rural New Zealand town where terrifying creatures lie in wait in an area known as “The Zone”… Returning to its world of creature effects, gore and irreverent humor, this is both a sequel to King’s 2006 comedy-horror hit, Black Sheep, and a farm-fresh thrill ride for new audiences. This is premiering the 2026 Sitges Film Festival next month and opens in New Zealand this November. Stay tuned for more updates + early reviews. Any big fans of the original? This looks just as gnarly and crazy fun.

“They’re baaaack!” 🐑 The sequel heads back to New Zealand for another round of bloody sheep mayhem, with director Jonathan King revisiting the world of his 2006 horror comedy. This time, a young scientist investigating a dangerous new pathogen traces it to her hometown, which sits in the shadow of the remote sheep station where the original film’s carnage unfolded. Genetically modified sheep are once again a very bad thing for everyone nearby. Black Sheeps, also known as Black Sheep 2, is once again directed by New Zealand filmmaker Jonathan King, director of the films Black Sheep, Under the Mountain, Realiti, and a few other shorts previously. The screenplay is written by Matthew Grainger, Rosie Howells, Jonathan King. Produced by Matthew Grainger, Jonathan King, James Partridge. This is premiering at the 2026 Sitges Film Festival this fall. Umbrella Ent releases King’s Black Sheeps horror comedy movie in New Zealand cinemas starting on November 12th, 2026 this fall. No other release date are set yet – stay tuned. Look any good?
