Emma Stone, born Emily Jean Stone in 1988, grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, with a passion for acting. Overcoming anxiety and panic attacks, she convinced her parents to support her move to Los Angeles at 15 to pursue her dream. Homeschooled temporarily, she focused on acting while studying. Starting in local theater, she gained experience and support from her parents, who moved with her. Despite early setbacks, including a reality show appearance, she persevered. Adopting “Emma” as her stage name, she found success with roles like in “Superbad” (2007). Though she left high school to pursue acting, she later earned her GED online.

Emma Stone was born Emily Jean Stone on November 6th 1988 in Scottsdale Arizona she knew from a very young age that she wanted to become an actress at the age of 11 she made a PowerPoint presentation titled project Hollywood to convince her parents to allow her to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting Stone struggled with anxiety as a child she has spoken openly about her experiences with panic attacks and how acting became a therapeutic outlet for her Emma Stone was homeschooled for a period of time during her childhood due to her anxiety and panic attacks this allowed her to focus on her studies while pursuing acting opportunities Stone’s interest in acting began in local theater Productions she participated in numerous stage Productions at the Valley youth theater in Phoenix Arizona including playing the role of the narrator in the Wind in the Willows despite their initial concerns about their daughter pursuing a career in acting Stone’s parents supported her passion and even moved with her to Los Angeles when she was 15 years old to help her pursue her dreams Stone’s first TV role came in 2004 when she was cast in the VH1 reality show in search of the new Partridge Family although the show wasn’t picked up it provided her with valuable experience and exposure Emma Stone chose Emma as her stage name because it was easier to pronounce and sounded more mature than her birth name Emily Stone was inspired by the surname of of the character em AEL from the TV series The Avengers Stone’s breakout role came in the 2007 comedy super bad where she played the love interest of Jonah Hill’s character her performance garnered attention and led to more significant roles in the future Stone auditioned for a role on the Disney channels The Sweet Life of Zach and Cody but was not selected however this experience motivated her to continue pursuing acting and eventually led to other opportunities despite her burgeoning acting career Stone remained committed to her education she attended Xavier college preparatory a private Catholic High School in Phoenix Arizona before ultimately dropping out to pursue acting full-time she later earned her GED online
