[Music] Ava Mendes might not have accompanied Ryan Gosling to his recent Saturday Night Live hosting gig but the actress still had nothing but great things to say about the La La Land Stars performance Gosling hosted the sketch show for the third time on Saturday and seemingly gave a knot to his leading lady who’s of Cuban descent by doing a skit revolving around a man who developed a Latino accent after marrying a Cuban women the sketch opened with Gosling sitting around a table alongside cast members Marcelo Hernandez and Kenan Thoms who played characters from Cuba and the Dominican Republic respectively when a waiter asked where they were from Thompson pointed at gossing and said he was from Tennessee but ever since he married a Cuban woman he different Gosling joked a Cuban wife can change you calling himself a Cuban poppy as Hernandez and Gosling tried to convince Thompson to go to a club with them the former even name dropped Mendes causing the Oscar nominee to crack a smile the funny man said tonight’s going to be crazy man there’s going to be Ava Mendes Margo Robbie is going to be there the original dog from Beethoven’s going to be there the funny skit was a hit with the audience and Mendes who gave it her stamp of approval on Instagram Tuesday she captioned the video my Cuban poppy made this Cuban Mommy so happy with this years of hanging out with my Dad paid off menes also thanked Hernandez for seemingly conceptualizing the skid and giving her a shout out [Music]
