“La Terre des Femmes” : la première série en espagnol d’Eva Longoria • FRANCE 24
[Music] hi I’m Eva Loria and you’re watching France 24 wait I said French I said French 24 that’s a drink isn’t [Laughter] it um it’s so much fun I enjoy it I uh next year will be 20 years that I’ll be here in can with L’Oreal and my L’Oreal family um I love it I love this community of filmmakers and and the curation of films that are here it’s just like so Global more Global than any of the other festivals I think I have so many memories um you know the my first can was fun because I just didn’t know what it was I didn’t even know what it meant can I was like what is that I kept saying I don’t even I think I said K I don’t remember what I called it it was I was definitely saying it wrong and I you know bought a dress for $40 and went to the pallet like I didn’t know I didn’t know what it was and I loved the time after my son was born and he was a baby and I brought him to can I had just gave birth and to kind of be here as a mom and and to do double duty uh was also fun and then I’ve had so many amazing fashion moments too that I really enjoyed and and you know there’s no greater I think carpet than than can [Music] yeah I always say that it’s not the dress it’s the woman who wears it I became an actor and then Desperate Housewives took off and I felt like I was on set as an actor not reaching my full potential I was just standing there saying lines and I’d go home and I wanted to do more and I knew I could do more and so I asked a lot of questions and I used Desperate Housewives as my film school and uh started directing you know shorts and then episodic and half hour and 1 hour and single cam and multi- Cam and and then before you knew it 10 years had passed of me directing and then last year was was my first feature so I’ve had a lot of fun but I like doing all of it I like acting and directing at the same [Music] time but this is probably my my first proper return to television and in Spanish it’s my first time acting in Spanish if you like Desperate Housewives you’re going to love Land of Women cuz it’s the same tone it’s a dramedy it’s very funny but it also has a mystery and some drama uh it’s about three generations of women my mother myself and my daughter and it’s just uh a lot of situation for comedy of like us being a fish out of water thank you
