one word I would use to describe the welen oh gosh the welin is so many things woman Community unpredictable Alish exorcism gnarly gigantic gets a play that really gets you thinking witchy women electric it’s a beautiful story it has so many great themes a woman has been convicted of murder and she says she’s pregnant and and if she is pregnant then she will be transported to another land and live and if she is not she will be hung the very day such an insanely incredible group of artists who are creating something together it may be a story set in the past but it could not be more relevant today some really serious things happen in it and yet it it’s hilarious it’s women questioning our own power

Rural England, 1759. As the country awaits the return of Halley’s comet, a young woman is sentenced to death. When she tries to escape the noose by claiming she is pregnant, twelve ordinary women are gathered to decide whether she is telling the truth. A dark, fierce, funny play about democracy and housework.
