all right so let’s just go ahead and break down the timeline really quickly all right uh the video in question came out on May 26 2024 um someone suggested it in Discord I’m not going to go ahead and mention anyone’s names obviously that’s not what we do here this is how my channel generally runs uh someone sends me a suggestion at some time in history and it goes into basically a a randomized picker the randomized Picker picks the video up and says okay this is what you’re reacting to today so I go to the studio start the process of actually recording the video I’m like okay some of these claims are absolutely crazy I’m pointing out some of these things obviously here like this is absolutely wild but I’m still watching the video and then giving my insight on certain things kind of like what I normally do in all my videos right and I finish recording I upload I go to sleep two days pass I get an email this email is directly from the attorneys of Kim Kardashian I’m at fault apparently for uh making this video and I’m like bro what what EX exactly do you mean by that why didn’t you go and ask the original poster why they posted the video I’m literally just a reaction Channel Fair using a video that’s on YouTube under creative comments but I because I because that person didn’t put their face on the video uh I am being penalized for the video so in my head I’m just like huh do I just take the video down and just move on right so of course I’m going to take it down cuz why would I specifically with my tiny Channel compared to others obviously so why would I be held responsible for Kim Kardashian suing me for a video that I’m reacting to and I didn’t create so it sounds honestly like a like a silencing thing there’s someone online that obviously has an issue um with whatever is going on with Kim Kardashian and they make a video then someone that W that saw the video watched it wanted my opinion on the video so I watched the video they are seriously attempting to come at me for for this right so of course the first thing I do as a YouTuber that’s been on YouTube for a while and I’m used to getting all these scam sponsorship ads and things I check the email out so I look at the email and I’m just like huh Kardashian jenner.com that’s an interesting one right so I’m just like wait a second hold on what exactly are you saying to me here so the email basically reads here Mr Boyd I’m an attorney for Kim Kardashian and write to demand that you immediately cease and assist from publishing false and defamatory statements about my client on your social media so I’m getting an official cease and assist from the attorney of Kim Kardashian what uh okay so then I continue on so immediately what I see here is a PDF that’s attached to the actual email and I’m like wait a second bro cease and assist for defamatory State bro I did not make that video see there’s an interesting thing that happens with um with public figures occasionally okay uh public figures I don’t really think they actually have much say here right I mean you’re you’re literally a a public figure but I’m going to take the video down because again because later on in the email it basically states that if you do not immediately remove the video we will file a lawsuit hold you responsible for paying Miss Kardashian’s attorney fees and costs in forcing her to file legal action to move your slanderous statements bro it’s not my video so what I did instantly was respond to the email with the original link to make sure that they actually spoke to the people that uh in fact had more to do with it as in they created the literal video about a public figure but I get it should you be talking crazy about people online no but did I no so I’m I’m thoroughly confused then it giving me all this other absolute craziness about how they’re they’re attempting to bully me into taking a video down or I get into a legal battle with a literal billionaire so I am thoroughly thoroughly confused here I’m fully aware what the concept of defamation is all right um if I created that video I’d understand why you’re coming at me with the concept of defamation but in fact I’m Fair using a video that is available under Creative Commons to react to the email is just full of constant threats they’re like listen if you don’t take the video down Miss Kardashian will vigorously pursue all legal rights and remedies right including money damages punitive damages Equitable relief and recovery of her attorney fees for your willful misconduct what guys what are you talking about what’s even happening here you know that I did not make the video but yet you’re sending me this as if I was the creator of the video the video made a lot of crazy claims that’s a fact I said none of them so let’s react to this email what would I think of the person that sends this and this person is an attorney I don’t think very amazing things right because I don’t I have no idea how someone could pass the bar and not know that this is a reaction Channel and not the channel that created the video but but either way listen you guys all have an absolutely amazing day I want you guys to enjoy your day thoroughly and let me see what can I actually guys let me look up some actual true things let me not even do that it just looks crazy that someone with alleged intelligence doesn’t understand the difference between the person who created something and the person who’s just watching it you also would be liable for all of what was just mentioned here by the by the looks of it because again I’m just a viewer

The only thing I can think of why this might be justified is that it’s being propagated despite you not being the creator but even that seems like a stretch, though I’m not a lawyer.
I will say though, that ethics and legalities are different and there are a lot of things you react to that really shouldn’t be shared or legitimized with a conversation, in my opinion. I didn’t see the video in question but just mentioning it based on you saying there were wild and crazy claims in the original video.
